9 Month Check Up

Ryan is already 9 months. I can hardly believe it! Yesterday I took him to the doctor for his 9 month check up. I usually look forward to these visits. John and I always have bets on how much he weighs or how tall he is. Kind of fun. Anyway, this visit started off great his stats are:
Height: 29.5 inches (75%)
Head Circumference: 40cm (60%)
Weight: 20 lbs 8 oz (37%)
This startled me a little, he was 19lb 2 oz at 6 months.
Awesome for the most part.

Doctor came in, played with him, asked all the normal questions. Ryan clapped and waved at him and so on. Dr checks left ear, great! Then the right ear, checked once, twice then came a whole lot more questions. Long story short Ryan has pneumonia, an ear infection, pink eye (?) oh yeah and he is a little anemic? Seriously!! After making a follow up appointment to get Ryan another x-ray I left with enough prescriptions to open my own Walgreen's :)

Yes Ryan, this is how I feel too!! For the last month I have been in and out of the doctor's office or Urgent care about every 3 days or so. With colds, strep (one night Dylan tested positive for strep again after being on antibiotics for four days) and now this! I never thought I would say this, but I am so ready for summer. I know "everyone" is sick right now, but I have had it! John, I definitely need you to stop and bring home a diet coke for me (also, dinner would be great :)!

He is still such a happy and sweet boy!!

Okay first of all I have to say I love your new blog background and family picture. Was that taken in Arizona?

So sorry about all the sick kids. Justin has been off of preschool for the last 3 weeks and I just know that as soon as he starts back up we will all be sick (again). Shane has had the flu 2 times in his short 6 months of life. I hate having sick kids...I would totally rather be sick myself. But you are right, Ryan is still super cute despite feeling awful!

We seriously need to get our families together sometime soon. Our kids would have a blast! Take care. Hope you get that diet Coke.
